ManagementChristopher Tompkins Ph.D., President & CEO Christopher Tompkins has more than fifteen years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry experienced focused in the areas of Process Development, Operations and the commercialization of new technologies. As General Manager of Proligo LLC, a provider of custom biomolecules and reagents, he oversaw a three- fold growth of the business and led the transition of the oligonucleotide product line from DNA to specialty RNA. Before being appointed General Manager, he held successive executive roles at Proligo, including overseeing the worldwide process technology group, directing the cGMP pilot plant, and building the high-throughput production organization. Dr. Tompkins has lead projects and performed engineering development for two marketed pharmaceutical products; at NeXstar Pharmaceuticals, he led the development team and designed the reactor technology for the macular degeneration treatment, Macugen™; and at Hoffmann-La Roche he was jointly responsible for the development and scale-up of the 5-FU pro-drug Xeloda™. Dr. Tompkins graduated with B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Terry Opgeneorth, Ph.D., Chairman of the Board Terry Opgenorth heads NeoTREX, the enterprise arm of Colorado State University’s Cancer Supercluster. He joined NeoTREX and CSU Ventures, Inc in 2007 after 20 years with Abbott Laboratories, Abbott Park, IL. His last position at Abbott was Divisional Vice President of Metabolic Disease Research, Antiviral Research and Target-Lead Discovery Research for Abbott’s Global Pharmaceutical Research and Development division. In addition to NeoTREX, Terry is Co-Director, Colorado Center for Drug Discovery (C2D2), and he was recently appointed Affiliate Faculty with CSU’s Clinical Sciences Department. Terry also serves as a Director for Boards of Colorado Bioscience Association, Keystone Symposia, KromaTiD, VetDC and Vidasym, and Scientific Advisory Board member for Keystone Symposia and Euroscreen, SA. Dr. Opgenorth holds a BA in Biology from Calvin College, and MS and PhD degrees in Physiology from University of Illinois-Urbana. Bruce Robinson, Board Member Mr. Robinson joined Wireless Matrix through its acquisition of Norcom Networks in February 2001. He served as Vice President, Products & Infrastructure and Chief Technical Officer of Norcom Networks from January 1998 until August 1999 when he assumed the role of President. Mr. Robinson previously served as Principal of Norova Technologies Corp. where he engaged in consulting activities supporting companies involved in diverse technologies and markets, for both Fortune 500 companies as well as a wide range of small and emerging companies, including Norcom Networks. Mr. Robinson has a degree in Mathematics and over 25 years of experience in the high-tech industry. He has served in executive and technology management positions in start-ups and development stage companies as well as at DBA Systems, Ford Aerospace and Communications, Singer Link Advanced Products Operation, and Sanders Associates Advanced Development Group. |
